Yamraj Says : !!!Welcome to Hell!!!

A person died and then Yamdootas took him to hell. here is the conversation with Yamraj.

Yamraj : !!!Welcome to Hell!!!

Person : Please let me go back . I don’t want to stay here. Why you took me in the hell ? I am very upset.

Yamraj : Come on. I am here to give you fruits of your deeds or Karmas. I know these fruits are bit bitter.

Person : But why me in hell ?

Yamraj : Are you Krishna ‘s Devotee ?

Person : No.

Yamraj : Are you wearing Tulasi Mala ?

Person : No. Why I should wear that?

Yamraj : Come on. My messenger does not touch the person who are wearing Tulasi Mala.Wearing tulasi neck-beads is bhäva-anukula sädhana (helpful in attaining bhäva). And what is bhava-anukula? In bhava-anukula one observes Janmastami-vrata, Ekadasivrata, Kartika-vrata, wears tilaka and respects Tulasi, for the pleasure of Krsna. Do not think that tilaka or kanti-mala (tulasi neckbeads) are useless, or that we worship ordinary trees or plants.

Person : Oh come on Please leave me. U can check other things.

Yamraj : Ok. Let me see your Vaishnav Tilak marked on 12 places on your body.

Person : What is that Tilak ? and why should any one wear ?

Yamraj : Persons who put tulasé beads on the neck, who mark twelve places of their body as Krishna or Vishnu temples with Krishna’s four handed symbolic representations [the four items held in the four hands of Lord Krishna-conch, mace, disc and lotus], and who have ëu tilaka on their forehead, are to be understood as the devotees of Lord Krishna in this world. So My messenger never dare to touch them or took them to hell. My Messenger will watch first, and he will mark those of you who aren’t wearing tilaka and say, “Oh, very soon I will take them.”

Person :

But why hell for me ?

Yamraj : come on . Tell me for who was jail created ?

Person : For persons who are not following rules and regulations-for those who are causing disturbance to others.

Yamraj : Correct . If we follow the rules and regulations given by our scriptures and vedas. Then why we will bring you in hell.

Person : But leave me. I am a good person. I have lived a simple life.

Yamraj : Oh Ok .I do understand. Are you Krishnaterian ?

Person : what does it means ??

Yamraj : People says I am vegeterian means Lover of Vegetables, Non-vegeterian lovers of Non-Vegetables So the Krishnaterian is. who loves Krishna.

Person : yeah I do love Krishna . I love every God. I respect every God. Everytime I bow my head in front of all temples.

Yamraj : hahahhahha. So then why you food contains beef ?

Person : But that is part of everyone’s food. But I did not killed any animal or any person. Whatever I get in Market I have taken that’s It.

Yamraj : No You are wrong . People who love Krishna or are Krishnaterian They are also CowTerian means they love cow , They don’t eat cow. whole life you have taken Non-veg and for ur food so many people have killed Cows , little sweet animals. If people like you will stop eating meat and non-veg then definately Demons will stop cutting or killing them. It’s just because of you guys Demons kills animals for you food.

Person : Oh I am so sorry. I did even know that. But I am a simple guy. I was just a food lover that’ It.

Yamraj : hey animals are not food. Who gave you persmisison to kill animals.

Person : Please Please leave me . Please.

Yamraj : Ok. Have you ever Chanted Supereme Lord’s Name ?
Person :

No. See You know that at Earth everyone’s has busy life. But I never hurted anyone.

Yamraj : Is it ?You ar such a fool. Tell me . Are you Krishna’s Devotee ??

Person : No. I am so sorry.

Yamraj : I have also advised my servants never to approach the Krishna’s devotees. I have instructed my messengers that if they meet a devotee they should offer their respectful obeisances. So there is no question of a devotee’s being promoted or degraded within this material world. As there is a gulf of difference between the punishment awarded by the mother and the punishment awarded by an enemy, so a devotee’s distressed condition is not the same as the distressed condition of a common karmi.

Person : Can you explain about Karmi and Devotee ?

Yamraj : The karmis and the devotees are not on the same level. In whatever condition of life the karmi may be, he continues in the cycle of birth and death because the seed of karma, or fruitive activity, is there, and it fructifies whenever there is an opportunity. By the law of karma a common man is perpetually entangled in repeated birth and death, whereas a devotee’s distress and happiness, not being under the laws of karma, are part of a temporary arrangement by the Supreme Lord which does not entangle the devotee.

Such an arrangement is made by the Lord only to serve a temporary purpose. If a karmi performs auspicious acts, he is elevated to the heavenly planets, and if he acts impiously, he is put into a hellish condition of life. But whether a devotee acts in a so-called pious or in an impious manner, he is neither elevated nor degraded, but is transferred to the spiritual kingdom. Therefore a devotee’s happiness and distress and a karmi’s happiness and distress are not on the same level.

Person : But I worshipped all demigods. Please Please leave me.

Yamraj : See Krishna himself told in Bhagavad-gita: Those who worship the different demigods achieve the desired results which the respective demigods can reward. Similarly, those who worship the material energy receive the suitable reward for such activities, and those who worship the pitas receive similar results. But those who are engaged in devotional service or worship of the Supreme Lord Visnu or Krsna, go to the Vaikuntha planets or Krsnaloka. One cannot approach the transcendental region or paravyoma, the spiritual sky, by worshiping Lord Siva or Brahma or any other demigod. Unintelligent people will be attached with demigods for material desires. So tha’s what you did.

Person : But Still I am a good person .

Yamraj : Oh Ok. Let me know if you never approcahed to intoxication and illicit sex

Person : But to move in social environment . I did that.

Yamraj : These all are sense enjoyment matters. So You did nothing in the world except your own sense enjoyment.

Person : Please let me go.

Yamraj : Will let you go after your punishment for next birth of Dog.

Person : Oh my lord. why I am being Dog in next birth.

Yamraj : Because while quitting your body. You rememberd your Dog. See in whatever state you will quit , In next birth you will attain the same body. See whole life you loved your dogs and at the death time , u only rememberd him. Tha’s why vaishnav keep chanting Lord’;s name . They practice to chant Lord’s Holy name so at the Death Time they would be able to attain Lord.

Person :

:Oh My God. I did even know that.

Yamraj : Because you never tried to know yourself , your lord, your origin, your whole father. I wonder sometimes, Krishna send so many messengers , sprititual masters , and guidelines in form of Vedas and Scriputres. But you Humans are still on same pace. Tha’s why My Hell is full like anything.

Person : I am so sorry. When I will be Human again .

Yamraj : Human birth is very rare. Human Birth is the opprtunity to realise your relationship with Krishna. But all of you are wasting this birth like anything. All of you are engaged in Ur Familes , your business life , job life , marriage , kids , money , girl friends , party and anything. Now after 80 million species again you will be waiting for that. Ia m so sorry for you.

Person : Please Please save me.

Yamraj : It’s too late. I cannot save you now.

Person : But Is there any way to get out from this .

Yamraj : See being Karmi , U need to get into this cycle of birth and deaath . I cannot help. But only Krishna can save you. Start chanting his Name. He will save you.

Person : Ok. “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna – Krishna Krishna Hare Hare – Hare Rama Hare Rama – Rama Rama Hare Hare.”
Rather than Chanting in hell why don’t you start now. Did you wear Tulsi mala ? Can you promise that without having Tulasi mala in your nect you won’t drink water. Can you promise that You will always be wearing Tulasi mala in your neck. Are you having Tilak marks on 12 places of your body ?
See any time Yamraj’s messenger will come and marks you. So better be ready. Practice the Krishna’s Name so at the death time no one will take you to hell. Death can come at any place so keep chanting Krishna’s Name at evryplace , every time every moment.

Tulsi Marriage Story – Tulsi Vivah Katha – Tulsi Marriage

Tulasi Vivah

The Tulsi plant is a variety of the spice we know as basil. The story of Tulsi and the holiday known as Tusli Vivaha is a wonderfully symbolic story that resonates even today.

Tulsi Vivaha, is the mythical marriage of the tulsi plant and Krishna, is celebrated on the 11th day of the bright half of the lunar month of Kartika. The festival is popular in all parts of India and particularly in the south.

In the Vedic tradition there is a rishi by the name of Narada who is the son of Brahma, the creator. He takes the role of cosmic instigator. He is always sneaking in and out of these stories, usually starting things off by making devious suggestions which his unsuspecting target eagerly agrees to. Of course there are all sorts of interesting consequences and they are what make up the core of these stories.

During the time that Krishna was here on earth, the gods in heaven decided that he had been away long enough and that they missed him. They wanted him to come back to heaven. So with Narada, they hatched a plan to get Krishna to return.

While here on earth, Krishna had 2 wives; Satyabhama and Rukmini. Queen Satyabhaama enquired of the Rishi Narada how she could ensure that she would have Krishna as her husband in her next life. Narada told the Queen, and truthfully so, that you receive in the next life that which you give away in this life as charity (Daan in sanskrit). So Satyabhaama immediately gave Krishna away to Narada and they left immediately so that Krishna could go back to heaven.

But Krishna’s wives Rukmini and Satyabhama sorely missed their husband, and both requested Narada to bring Krishna back. Narada said that they would have to give the gods something equal to the weight of Krishna if he was to return from heaven. Proud of all the jewels and valuables that Krishna had given her, Satyabhama set up a large weighing balance scale. Krishna came and sat on one side. Satyabhama, who as befits a Queen, was rather arrogant and brought out all her jewels and gold and silver pots to weigh against Krishna. But the more she piled onto the balance scale, the lighter her side became. Krishna just became heavier and heavier. Reduced to angry tears, she finally gave up.

Satyabhama asked Rukmini to do what she could. Rukmini removed all the gold and gems from the scale and plucked a few leaves of the wild tulsi plant growing nearby. She put them on the scale with all her love. The leaves proved to be far heavier than Krishna. With a smile, Krishna returned to earth to be with his wives.

Since that time, a tulsi leaf is added to any auspicious gift. A father also places a tulsi leaf in his daughter’s hand during the Kanyadaan – giving away of the daughter during a Hindu marriage ceremony.

On Tulsi Vivaha the yagya tradition is for the tulsi plant to be dressed up as if it were a murti. The ceremony of Vishnu’s marriage is reenacted in a uja called Kalyana Utsavam. A dainty wedding pavilion (mandap) is made of sugarcane stalks and the tulsi plant is decorated with a yellow bridal sari, miniature jewellery and red kumkum powder. Krishna wears a golden crown and the traditional bridegroom’s attire. The wedding is conducted with complete wedding puja and homa rites. The Tulsi plant is offered a feast of seasonal berries, new tamarind, turmeric, amla fruit and rice. Krishna is offered sweets made of milk.

You might ask why it was that Rukmini, who was really Lakshmi, offered the tulsi plant to Krishna in this story. As is frequently the case in Vedic stories, it begins with a demon who has gained too much power and is troubling the gods. Since the strength of the gods can not always equal that of the demons, the gods have to win by some form of trickery. Of course ultimately it backfires and the gods have make amends.

In this case, there was a demon who was a famous warrior by the name of Jalandhar. By constantly annoying, fighting and defeating the gods he made his fellow demons happy and more and more of the universe came under their control. Jalandhar had a wonderful wife by the name of Vrinda who was a pure and spiritually dedicated soul and a powerful yogi in her own right. Because of her purity and spiritual strength, Jalandhar became invincible in all three worlds.

Desperately, the gods tried to find some way to defeat Jalandhar. Vishnu developed a plan and sent messengers to tell Vrinda that her husband had been killed in battle. The severed head and body of two monkeys were put in front of her, and after reciting some mantras, Vishnu, through his magical powers made her believe it was her husband’s dead body and she was plunged into grief.

Then Vishnu snuck away and took the form of a sadhu and seemingly innocent, walked by Vrinda. Faking compassion, Vishnu recited some mantras and joined the head and the body together again. Vishnu quickly took the form of Vrinda’s husband who thought that her husband Jalandhar stood there in front of her. She embraced him with passion and relief. But quickly she realized her mistake and discovered that it was in fact, Vishnu. In that conservative era, she immediately lost her spiritual virtue and power for having touched the body of man who was not her husband. She was distraught at having been tricked, but it was of no use. After Vrinda had lost her holiness and purity, Jalandhar lost the source of his power, and was killed in battle.

When Vrinda came to know the full truth of her husband’s death, she was wild with anger and cursed Vishnu saying, “Your wife will be taken away from you and you will have to ask help from monkeys to recover her.” A rishi’s curse is a powerful thing and not even the gods can escape it. It was after all, the result of Vishnu’s own actions coming back to him.

As we well know, this curse was realized when Vishnu took the form as Rama and Sita was taken from him only to be saved again by Hanuman, the monkey god.

After issuing her curse, Vrinda prepared the funeral pyre for her husband and jumped into the fire. Vishnu, whose job it is to protect everyone in creation, was very sorry because as a result of his deceit the poor widow had committed suicide. He remained sitting at the side of the pyre for many days, deep in depression. Worried about him because he was neglecting his cosmic duties, the gods planted three medicinal trees in the cremation ground; Tulsi, Amala, and Jasmine. Of these three trees the Tulsi was most dear to Vishnu and to this day is used in his worship rituals

Because Vrinda had for a while truly believed Vishnu to be her husband, when Vishnu appeared as Krishna, Vrinda came in the form of Rukmini and on the day which we celebrate as Tulsi Vivaha, they were married.

Holy Tulsi

Tulsi Devi

The Tulasi tree is a most important plant, and is often seen at numerous Hindu temples, especially those dedicated to Vishnu and Krishna. At such temples you are likely to find one or more in the courtyard wherein pilgrims circumambulate it, water it, or even offer prayers to it. Some temples will even have Tulasi groves, wherein you will see numerous Tulasi plants growing in a garden. Some temples will even have a special greenhouse just for taking care of Tulasi plants. At such temples, they may even prepare large garlands of Tulasi leaves and manjaris (the ends of the branches) for the deity of Lord Krishna to wear. It is said that Tulasi will not grow well where there is no devotion to the Lord. In fact, how well Tulasi grows is said to be like a barometer that indicates how high the devotional attitude is of the devotee community around the temple.

Vaishnava devotees also use the wood to make neck beads and wear two or three strands of them around their necks signifying their devotion to the Lord. They also make their japa mala or chanting beads from wood of the Tulasi tree as well. Tulasi is considered to be a pure devotee of the Lord who has taken the form of a tree. Therefore she is given the utmost respect. This is also why many devotees and Hindus in general also grow Tulasi in their homes. In this way, the Tulasi plant plays an important part in the spiritual life of many devotees. So what is the significance, history and legends behind this little tree?

To begin with, the Basil plant (Ocimum sanctum) is commonly called Tulasi (pronounced tulsi). In some accounts of the Puranic story of the Churning of the Ocean (samudramathana), the Tulasi is added to the list of articles which emerged from it, and is sacred to Krishna (according to Wilson’s VishnuPurana p, 67. n.8). It is also sacred to his Lord Vishnu’s consort Laksmi, and hence it is itself an object of worship.

The Tulasi plant also possesses curative properties and is said to be an antidote to snake-venom. It destroys mosquitoes and other pests and purifies the air. It even is said to ward off the messengers of Yama, the ruler of the dead, who will not enter a house containing a sprig of Tulasi. This is also one of the reasons why devotees wear the Tulasi as neck beads. When death occurs, the funeral pyre should be constructed of Tulasipalasha, and sandal-wood.

There is further Puranic background for Tulasi attaining this spiritualistic importance. In fact it is Mahalaksmi, wife of Visnu, who had herself taken the form of Tulasi. There is a story about it in the Devi Bhagavata. The Puranic Encyclopedia summarizes these legends.

1) The curse of Sarasvati. Sarasvati, Ganga and Laksmi were all, in the beginning, wives of MahaVishnu. The Lord loved all the three equally. One day all the four were sitting together when Ganga sent lustful glances at Vishnu which was immediately noticed by both Sarasvati and Laksmi. Sarasvaii got angry and rising up caught hold of the hair of Ganga and dragged her to the ground. Laksmi then caught hold of Sarasvati to prevent farther assault but Sarasvati then poured all her rage on Laksmi and cursed her to be born as a plant on earth. Gangadevi could not bear this and she cursed Sarasvati to be born as a river on earth. Sarasvati retorted with a curse that Ganga also would be born as a river. When the whole tumult was over Vishnu called Laksmi to his side and said, “Oh Devi, do not worry. Things have happened as predestined. You go and be born as the daughter of Dharma-dhvaja and grow up there. From there by divine grace you will be transformed into a plant sacred enough to make all the three worlds pure. That plant will be named Tulasi. When you will be thus living as Tulasi, a demon named Sankhacuda with part of my virile strength will be born and he will marry you. Then you can come back to me. The holy river Padmavati will also be another form of your spirit.”

2) The story of Dharmadhvaja. Who was this Dharma-dhvaja to whom was born Mahalaksmi as a daughter? In times of old there was a Manu called Daksasavarni who was extremely virtuous and a part of Vishnu. Descending from Daksasavarni were Brahmasavarni-Dharmasavarni-Rudrasavarni-Devasavarni-Indrasavarni Vrsadhvaja. This last named was a great devotee of Shiva and because of his great affection for this devotee Shiva lived a whole period of a devayuga in the ashrama of Vrsadhvaja. King Vrsadhvaja by an edict prohibited the worship of any other deity than Shiva in his country. Even the worship of Mahalaksmi ordained by the Vedas during the month of Bhadra (September) became extinct. All Yagyas and worship of Vishnu came to a stop.Surya (Sun-god) got angry al this belittling of other gods than Shiva and cursed the King Vrsadhvaja that he would cease to be prosperous. Shiva did not like it and he went to punish Surya holding his trident in his hand. Surya was frightened and he approached his father Kasyapa. Kasyapa and Surya went to Brahma and acquainted him with all details. Brahma also was helpless in the matter and so all the three of them went to Mahavishnu. They prostrated before Vishnu and told him all. At that time Shiva also came there. Addressing all of them, Vishnu said “Oh. Devas, wilhinthis half an hour twenty-one yugas have passed by on the earth. He about whom you have come to speak to me is dead and gone. Even his son Rathadhvaja is dead. The latter has two sons named Dharmadhvaja and Kusadhvaja. They are dull and splendorless now because of the curse of Surya and are now worshipping Laksmi.” Saying thus Vishnu disappeared.

3) Birth of Tulasi. Dharmadhvaja and Kusadhvaja did penance to propitiate Mahalaksmi. Kusadhvaja had a wife named Malavati. She bore a daughter named Vedavati. Sita, wife of SriRama, was a rebirth of this Vedavati.

King Dharmadhvaja had a wife named Madhavi. Mahalaksmi entered her womb as an embryo and after a hundred years Madhavi gave birth to a daughter. Even at the time of birth the child looked like a matured girl and was extremely pretty. She was therefore, called Tulasi, meaning matchless. (Tula= match). This Tulasi, abandoning all worldly pleasures, went toBadarikashrama and started doing penance there with the prayer that MahaVishnu should become her husband. She did penance for twenty-four thousand years sitting amidst fire in the hot season and sitting in water in the cold season and taking only fruits and water as food. Then she did penance for another thirty thousand years eating leaves only, another forty thousand years taking air only as food and another ten thousand years without any food. At this stage Brahma appeared and asked her the object of her penance. She replied she wanted MahaVishnu to be her husband. Hearing this Brahma said thus: “Devi, you know the cowboy Sudama born of a part of Sri Krishna. That brilliant cowboy has now been born on earth, due to a curse of Radha, as a demon named Sankhachuda. He is matchlessly eminent and has once fallen in love with you seeing you at Goloka. You will become his wife and later you can become the wife of Narayana. At that time a part of your divine body will remain on earth as a plant named Tulasi. Tulasi will become the most sacred of all plants, dear to Vishnu, and all worship without using Tulasi leaves would be ineffective.”

4) Marriage of Tulasi. Due to a curse of Radha, Sudama, the cowboy, was born on earth as a demon named Sankhachuda. He did penance sitting at Badarikashrama and obtainedVishnukavaca. Another object of his was to marry Tulasi. He obtained a boon from Brahma that his death would occur only when the Vishnu Kavaca was removed from his body and the chastity of his wife was lost. At that time Sankhachuda and Tulasi met each other in the forests and were married. Sankhachuda, brilliant and majestic, went about with Tulasi in amorous sports creating jealousy even among the devas. His arrogance gave innumerable troubles to the devas and they along with Brahma and Shiva approached MahaVishnu for a remedy. Vishnu then sent Shiva with his spike to kill Sankhachuda and he himself started to molest the chastity of his wife Tulasi. Sankhachuda took leave of Tulasi to go and fight with Shiva. When Tulasi was thus left alone,MahaVisnu in the form of Sankhachuda approached Tulasi and after some preliminary talks entered into sexual acts. Tulasi found some difference in the usual affairs and suspecting foul play jumped up to curse the impostor. At once MahaVishnu appeared in his true form and said “You have been doing penance for a lone time to get me as your husband. Your husband Sankhachudawas the chief of my Parsadas, Sudarna. It is time for him to go back to [the spiritual abode of] Goloka getting himself released from the curse. By this time Shiva would have killed him and he would have gone to Goloka as Sudama. You can now abandon your body and come with me to Vaikuntha to enjoy life as my wife.

Your body will decay and become a holy river named Gandaki; your hair will become the Tulasi plant, the leaves of which will be held sacred in all the three worlds.”

Tulasi then changed herself into the form of Laksmi and went to Vaikuntha with MahaVishnu. (9th Skandha, Devi Bhagavata).

5) The greatness of Tulasi. Everything of the Tulasi plant, leaves, flowers, fruits, roots, twigs, skin and even the soil around is holy. The soul of a dead one whose dead body is cremated using Tulasi twigs for firewood would attain a permanent place in Vishnuloha [the spiritual abode]. Even great sinners would be absolved of their sins if their dead bodies are cremated with Tulasitwigs [or are wearing Tulasi beads]. If at the time of death one thinks of God and mutters His name and if his dead body is later cremated with Tulasi twigs, he would have no rebirths. Even he who has done a crore of sins would attain moksha [liberation] if at the time of cremating his dead body a piece of Tulasi twig is placed at the bottom of the funeral pyre. Just as all waters become pure by the union with Ganga water, all firewood is made pure by the addition of a small piece of Tulasi twig. If the dead body of one is cremated using Tulasi twigs alone, one’s sins for a crore of Kalpayears [1 kalpa is 4,800,000 years] would be washed away. Yamadutas [the soldiers of Lord Yama, the king of death] would keep away from one whose dead body is cremated with Tulasi twigs and servants of Vishnu would come near. If a light is burnt for Vishnu with a Tulasi stick it would be equal to burning several lakhs of lights for Vishnu. If one makes the Tulasi leaves into a paste and smears it on one’s body and then worships Vishnu for one day, one would be getting the benefit of a hundred ordinary worships and also the benefit of doing a hundred godanas (gifts of cows). (Chapter 24, Padma Purana)

It is also accepted that if ever a person leaves his or her body while wearing Tulasi beads, either around the neck or elsewhere, it creates the same affect as described above as having one’s cremation fire burnt using Tulasi.
